This isnt an ending,this is shit.The story goes further not just in the mangd in the anime too.We havent seen Earls new face yet and a lotr of things are unclear.But they ended it :S.I hope they will make a continue like the full metal alchemyst.

no d gray man like many other anime has ended but continued in the manga, this will eventually happen in bleach and naruto, and other anime too, for example inuyasha and soul eater, the anime ended but the manga went on it is not the director's to end the anime when the manga end, the anime and the manga are supposed to be different in a way in which there are filler episode , eventually bleach and naruto will end this way as well as the anime ending before the manga, personally my prediction is when naruto defeats sasuke will be the final episode for naruto, and I have no Idea about bleach , but the directors may prove me wrong and come out with a new seasson of soul eater and d gray man just like full metal alchemist , everything is unsuspected but I doubt a new season will come out

That is the last episode, FOR NOW. The manga continues, so it's pretty likely for the anime to continue someday, no one knows yet.

The Creator of the anime is a tad bit sick and she has finally recovered enough to start on the manga series again (thank you god!). But as for now there seems to be not enough to work with to start a season 2.

well word on the street is that the author broke her wrist and is currently recovering so once she gets back 2 work on the manga the anime will continue. it makes sense cuz the anime caught up with the manga.
