amazing periodi just personally love this anime. in the beginning I was expecting something childish and predictable but as the show progressed, it evolved beyond my expectations, its like each episode u watch it gets better and better, surprising and less predictable as u keep watching. every arc was great and every character was just overwhelming except for the main character Gon which in my opinon is the most important part of making a good series before u begin writing the manga. like i don't know how u can mke every other character look cool except for the main character iam not sayin hes bad, and he is good but not great and i know i might be overreacting a little about hiss character or personality or whatever u want to call it but good just doesn't cut it he has to be amzing, but that was just in the beginning of the show during the middle part of the phantom arc his character begins catch your eyes and by the time the chimer arc appered he started reminding me of goku. this show is incrediable each time u watch and each story line has its own theme, plus every arc was emotional, thrilling, and dangerous nd that was the best part no matter how many episode u see there would always be an action scene that would excite u. 10/10 EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rock Paper Scissors!This is such an amazing anime. I love it, it is simply amazing. I love it even more knowing that the creator is this anime was also the creator of Yu Yu Hakusho. The story revolves around Gon and Killua, they are both bestfriends. They want to become pro hunters and they *no spoilers*. This was a never adaption of the 1999 Hunter x Hunter, while i never watched the original one I wished i could have but i dont have as much time. This is a great anime amazing fights come from Kurapika, Gon, Killua all amazing. This is a great anime to watch, I have no idea how this isnt considered a popular anime. I want to see this anime on the "Whats hot" section, this anime deserves a lot of credit.

Hunter x hunter is a remake of the 1999 hunter x hunter. but this version of HxH keeps going on unlike the 1999. The main character is named Gon. he is 12 years old and is one of the youngest people in this anime to ever take the hunter exams. a hunter is a person to travel the world and do dangerous tasks assigned to them. Gon became a hunter to find his father "Ging." Threw out the anime, Gon meets new people that sometimes becomes his friends, acquaintances, or enemies.
This anime is my #3 out of my top 10. i would recommend this to any one who likes action, adventure, or even super power anime. Even though the manga has stopped, i have high hopes that this anime will keep pushing foreword
The 2011 hunter hunter remake.first off to start with this anime is the beginning, what i saw first was these just beautifully remade art flow across my screen. next thing i heard was the familiar voices of Gon and his aunt. next after watching and following this since its release was the story and character development was so well done. sorry this review is not all that long but i needed to say something.
If you don't feel like reading i basically said this anime is oozing with quality, action, character development and well written story. This remake is one of the best i have seen to date.
HUNTER X HUNTERI gotta say this anime is quite intriguing I stumbled upon it after seeing so many reviews starting to pop up so I said why not I was glad I did because this anime gave me a feeling of being a little kid watching dragon ball z with my older brother and dad which I have not had in awhile yes sure naruto and shippuden and bleach and one piece did as well but I have been watching them so many years so if you liked naruto bleach one piece DBZ sagas and even fairy tail you will fall in love with this anime like I did maybe because in the end of the day there are a lot of aspects on how people liked those anime's as well which brings this anime to that category of what I would like to call fascinating conversational anime
P.S. even more amazing its based off the same series from the 80s so its actually older then naruto bleach im not sure if its older then one piece of dbz sagas

Unbelievable This anime is beyond good I currently just watch the old Hunter x Hunter GI and GI finals they were outstanding and I'm hoping that when they continue this series and develop further after beating the game. I'm really looking forward to continuing this series every episode from the old Hunter x Hunter GI always ceased to amaze me. All aspects of this anime HxH 2011 are great I highly recommend this series to everyone. If the anime series is complete it definitely has the potential to surpass any anime either blast from the past or the current popular animes. Get watching you wont regret it for an anime this good. :)

Must watch!I really love this anime. I have to say it's the anime I look forward to the most every week. The beginning is pretty interesting and pulls you in, but later on it gets really good. Most people wouldn't like it at first, mainly because three of the main characters are kids that are as skinny as sticks, but this anime is way too good to pass up. It will not disappoint!
Out doing its predecessorWhile the description does call it a remake, it is pretty obvious it is following the source material much more closely to someone who read the manga it is based on.
With the exception of recap episodes, there have been none of the filler-episodes the last series had, which in my opinion, are a bore to watch in any anime series if there is a source material you read already that guides your knowledge of the timeline of events.
The animation is really good, showing the improvement of technology in the last decade. The proportions are especially notable; Gon's hair is exactly as it is drawn in the manga, where as the 1999 series felt the need to shorten it.
I am truly thankful to know the animators are doing their best to recreate the HxH world instead of adding their own interpretation...
There is little to speak of about the plot, story, and character development, since I am writing this so early on in the series. All of these are things that can be only fully appreciated in hindsight.
On that note, some people may say that the show seems to start off a bit slowly, but that is only because most anime (even Ads and TV shows) have a tendency to try to cram a lot of content as quickly as possible. They want new content always flowing, so you do not get bored. Some viewers have grown accustomed to that.
The case is very different for HunterXHunter. As a person whose read the source material, I know that within each scene, there are always several dynamics playing out, and what could be seen as an overstretched moment is actually a moment of extreme tension. Typical fans will not even notice this, until they read it again in hindsight.
HxH is as much a drama as it is an adventure series; conflict is rarely, if ever at all, purely physical. If you allow yourself to be empathetic and immerse yourself into the psychology of the individuals, the stretches of non-action will no longer seem like an awkward waste of time. The emotions in the air are sometimes almost, dare I say, tangible.
To bring the point home:
I am of the personal opinion, that if HunterXHunter (the manga) did not have to go on hiatus so frequently, it would have surpassed the top mainstream series (Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach) a long time ago.
How do I support this claim? The very fact that despite being on hiatuses of over a year, it has yet to be cancelled. Better yet, they have gone as far as to contract another anime for it.
This series is the only shounen series I have ever read that is on par with Fullmetal Alchemist.
Like FMA, from the very beginning, it hints of a complete story, allowing foreshadow to be dropped everywhere. It shows off a world completely imbedded in a supernatural phenomenon that could easily exist within our own. Characters continue to progress, despite us not seeing them, something many writers tend to neglect. To sum it all up - Realism within fiction.
No detail about the story is ever half-baked.
If you have a taste for adventure, for something new, then HunterXHunter is sure to please.

I have encountered a lot of fans don't seem to like the energy of the new series - shrugging it off as being more immature and lacking the "darkness" of its predecessor.
But, with the series having gone over 40 episodes, I found that the series knows how to be dark where it needs to be - The dangers and evils that Gon and his friends face are most indisputably dark.
The degree to which Gon's brightness opposes the dark themes he encounters only increases my satisfaction with the series that much more by allowing me to appreciate both the fact he is a 12 year old and the severity of the obstacles he must face.
In my opinion, the 2011 remake does a much better job of showing the vibrant and beautiful world I think Yoshihiro Togashi wished to share with us, without slacking on the mature themes at all.
Hunter x Hunter....on dopeBeautiful new animation! (FYI this is a remake of the original anime series) HD ready! lol It's nothing like fresh animation! The story starts off kinda slow, but if you got patience you will love this anime. Doesn't get real mushy, and lots of action. I started watching the new version, but got so into the plot... finished the plot from the old anime instead. Got hooked. Watched the whole thing. lol However, still catch the 2011 version every week. Nothing like HD! By the time the anime is done you will fell like a Hunter also. #Out2HavFun

Hey everyone this is a remake of the original hunter x hunter with newer animation that will suposivly continue on up to and past where the original left off! :DD yay!, and may cut out some less important parts.
OK so hunter x hunter is a true anime lovers anime, some people just looking for action and cool characters may not like this at first because of the younger characters and animation. BUT give this anime a chance if your willing this is a great anime and one of my all time favorits.
Hunter x Hunter is an anime that grows on you, the characters are amazing and the main character "Gon" in filled with mistery and a suprisingly pure aditude that will touch you heart, with memorable support characters this anime will keep you wanting more every week!
Ok so this anime is about Gon a young boy with amazing natural talent who wants to become a fabled "hunter". (a person who explores the world in search of treasure, discovery, new creatures, and adventure.) Gon's father left him while he was a young boy to continue to be one of the greatest hunters of all time, but instead of hating his fater Gon strives to be a hunter himself to descover why his father loved it so much and to one day meet him.
This anime is an action anime, now dont expect naruto like fights with crazy technical styles and moves, the key to the action in this anime is wonder, you dont really know how strong anyone is or can be untill they are reviled in this anime, leaving a great setting before a battle that will leave you guessing how things may turn out and a great wonder of what/who elts could be out there. But the potential of Gon is great not only is he a good person with good intentions but you dont want to piss this kid off, he is constantly underestimated by his oponets but they soon learn of his amazing ability.
So to wrap it up please watch this anime its a wonderfull show and has the potential to be a new naruto/bleach/onepeice, the manga is ongoing and has over 300 chapters. If you consider yourself a serious anime fan that is looking to watch new things and has never watched the original you need to check this out, but i suggest watching it week by week as i find that a much better anime experience than craming it all into a couple days, but if you cant do that and want to watch the original i understand.
