This anime is very good! nice plot good action and well laid out story line. Only thing I didnt like about it was that the first seasons animation was a little weird but honestly the first season is great as well the story leads you into xin's life as he is now fighting for his kingdom! Great anime 5 stars! :)
Kingdom 2 is by a fair margin, the best anime series in production now. Perhaps popularity as a result of budgeted marketing is its downfall, so this is my way of contributing. In order to fully grasp the storyline (which is sooo profound) its necessary to watch the first season.
The story line is roughly based on real events and characters that ccured and existed in china around 220bc. So watching it is not only entertaining, its somewhat of a history lesson. The character development is on point, there are no loop holes in the storyline, the fight scenes are borderline grusome, so it not so much tamed in comparison to the manga. The main character is unlike naruto or luffy. He kills without second guessing everytime, and when i say everrytime i mean everytime...
I will let you be the judge, just watch one épisode from the first season. If that does not captivate you then im clearly delusional. I would like to say this last thing. The animtion style changes as the story progress, meaning less cg is used, which is a good thing in my opinion
Kingdom and Kingdom-2
I have been following all kinds of anime (OP, Naruto, Detective Conan, Bleach, Major, Toriko, FT etc, etc..) in all kinds of varieties but this one stands a top of most of it. Excellent Screenplay for the story. Haven't seen any war-zone related anime like this. Loving it. Thanks to the Author for continuing it for second season and rooting for Xin and Ying Zheng and ofcourse Yasuhisa Hara.
I am so glad that the producers of this anime have decided to run it to a second season. The first was wonderful and it has the potential to run to several hundred episodes without repeating any story arcs or action sequences. they don't even need fillers since the plot itself is open, and any fillers would result in character development rather than just filling in blanks (take note naruto, one piece and bleach).
The main attraction of this anime is the character development. You get a real sense that the characters are living, rather than fitting into a 2 dimensional steriotype (pervert, tsundre, cool guy etc.) Throw in some decent action and some very clever battle strategy and you have an excellent anime.
Honestly, I am still excited about this anime as much as I was back when I first started season one (except the beginning few episodes due to it having weird bled of 3d animation). I Just enjoy the whole growth process and someday Shin is going to be a GENERAL. Just that alone makes me feel ushuhuahisudnjks excited.
