Narutos Mother Really Dead ???

Ok i know im probobly gonna get majorly flamed for this but i have a question.
Ok so iv been reading up on Narutos past and hence his family out of pure boredom for the past hour or two and a question came to mind. Is Narutos mother really dead ?? according to all my sources, she is only PRESUMED dead because other characters refer to her in a past tense, but could this not apply if she simply left the village. Suppose she had her son, Minato was dead and Sarutobi had sworn to Minato that oath thing about Narutos safety etc. etc. Now they named Naruto with the last name of Uzumaki so as to protect him from his fathers enemies, suppose Kushina decided that it would be safer for her son if she left aswell, plus as they did not want Naruto to learn of his heritage before he was old enough, hence removing Kushina from the equation would greatly reduce the risk of him accidently finding out. Now im not saying this is definantly so but is there not a chance that Kushina Uzumaki is still alive somewhere ?

Its deffinetely a possibility, there must be a reason they haven't confirmed Kushina's fate, a simple "she died in child birth" would suffice, but no they havent even said that. I think Kishi is keeping his options open and if a time ever comes where it would advance the story to bring her back then he will, and if that situation never comes up then he can just ignore her.

A very sound theory, but it is unlikely. There would have been some hint about her possibly still being around, either given by Jiraiya or Hiruzen. And it's getting a little late in the manga for her to show back up. I like the idea though. That would be cool for her to show up. She's probably powerful.

Very sound theory, and it truly is any one's guess at this point. Saying it is to late in the manga for her not to show up is kind of silly. Just look back a few chapters when Minato showed up inside of Naruto. No one would have guessed this to happen, especially knowing he was dead. Nearly everyone figured that Jiraiya, Tsunade, Kakashi, or anyone with knowledge of Naruto's past, would have been the one to tell Naruto of his father. I still think there my be something with Kushina to be told.

i want to hope she is still alive. it would make for a great twist to the story. but my belief is that jinchuriki (meaning human sacrifice to an extent) means it took someone's life to seal the kyubi in naruto. and minato had already made his contract with the shinigami. this leads me to believe it took kushina's life to have the kyubi sealed. but i truly hope this isn't the case.

This is probobly a weird idea but still.
They stated that Narutos fighting style, attitude and ninjutsu are very similar to how Kushina fought. so what if possibly she is alive, and will be the next teacher of naruto ??? I know its a weird idea it jsut came to midn is all

well, i think tsunade said kushina was a tomboy, so if your saying naruto is one too i would have to agree, but whoever said that kishi is keeping her a secret until he decides to do something with her makes the most sense to me. and congrats on 666th post kisame.

why would u get flamed dude... we all are wondering about his mom i would assume. i like your theory and i would like it if she was alive, it just seems to me naruto has learned all he is gonna from jiraiya and other shinobi he has looked up to( no duh Jiraiya is dead). But what i mean is that naruto's jutsu arsenal will not resemble Jiraiyas anymore than it already does. He got rasengan and sage mode from him basically, but beyond that Jiraiya had an insane amount of other cooler jutsus clearly depicted by his bout with pain. I would like Naruto's mom to be alive for the purpose of him learning some new jutsus, perhaps even waterbased if possible. The only reason i do not think she is alive, is i realli realli doubt a mother could not drop by their son even once over the course of 16 yrs... that would need more explanation for me.

two things, 1 i don't recall ever hearing how good of a ninja kushina was, for all we know all she could teach naruto is don't take rides from strangers and wash behind your ears. how do you even know she has water manipulation. can you give me pages. and 2nd mothers ditching their kids for whatever reason, good or bad happens all the time. i don't think it is that farfetch'd. but i respect your opinion

she probably in hiding because the mist village is looking gor her because they said she was from the mist village
