i want to know something..actually what are luke/asch was doing within the two years..secondly why was his clothe has change?? is there is something to do with lorelei or watever??can somebody tell me pless...
Nice Ending. i think that hes Luke. BTW did you guys notice that when Jade took off his glasses he looks like a male version of Tear or is that just me?
good anime and the best of the tales of .... had a really good story and a good opening theme its one of my favourits and it kind of reminds me of the ending to the rave master manga. One annoying thing though why didnt luke and tear kiss at the end i think that would have completed the series and maybe a little more after story to show what happened to the main characters because it didnt show what happened to them but i can probably venture a guess.
Oh, by the way, I would just like to say "Thank you" to ***** for making it possible for me to watch most of the anime when it was not possible on Narutowire. = D
What a super ending... definite tear-jerker. r I question, also, whether the guy is Luke or Asch... I am going to guess it is Luke, because he promised to come back and he spoke to Tear... Oh, well, it is one of THOSE animes... leaving everyone hanging... ; P
To be onest i think that they got merged together as u can see that he has long hair (from asch) and the sword sheath on his back and being left handed (from luke). if its both of them whats tear and natalia gonna do. lol
im guessing that it is asch. i watched the game and the anime ending, Luke promised to everyone he would come back but the person at the end promised someone not everyone. so i think it is asch cause he promised to natalia.
Very great anime but they could more to the ending i think it needs an ova so would be completely completed 1-4 eps to the ova at least one overall r 8 and a half out of ten bicouse the ending a bit let me hanging there. AN OVA PLEASE and possibly if will come a sequell to the game then propably will come a sequell to the anime but thats a long shot anyway Very good anime.
The ending was so gooooood. They really let it open fo your own imagination. It matched with the whole series. I loved it so much, I can't believe it's over, I'm sad. But ther's on thing I missed. There was a kiss between Luke and Tear in the manga right? I didn't read the manga, but I saw it somewere. I didn't see that in the anime. Am I right?

*points at sword sheath* It's Luke. First of all, Luke's left-handed, secondly he was the one to wear it on his back. Asch is right-handed and wore it on his hip. Therefore, it's either entirely Luke, or Luke is the dominant personality.
I am playing the game....and the ending of the game is the exact same as the ending for this game...it leaves it open for interpretation. From what I read the creator of the game intentionally left the ending so that you really couldn't tell if it was Luke or Ash. The ending was pretty much left up for us to decide what happened. So no one here is right or wrong...
You guys know that all your assumptions are wrong, you want to know how I know? I played the game by far this anime based off the tales series as by correct, guys buy the game, its called Tales of the Abyss u play as Luke its for the ps2
Ash also died in this series...but I think the two combine at the end...one person with all the memories. I am halfway through the game atm...I went and got it when I started watching this anime. I loved this series!
it was a kinda mix between both cuz luke cuts his hair and ash still has long hair but it kinda does look different from both hair style but i couldnt tell you :P lol
