Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun

Mizutani Shizuku is the type of person who only cares for her own grades. But when she accidentally delivers lesson notes to Yoshida Haru, he becomes convinced they are friends.

Haru turns out to have a very innocent personality, but who would've thought that Haru would actually confess to Shizuku?

A cold-hearted girl and super-troublemaker romance with a fresh new perspective.

     Tonari no Kaibotsu-kun

ok let me just get it out there right now, im new to this whole review thing and this is my first one ever, so im goin to do my best to give a good overview of this so with all that said, without further adew lets get started

so im usually not a big fan of romance animes, since i look for good different/unique stories and character devolpment in the anime i watch seeing the whole boy meets girl, girl falls in love chase begins boy falls in love, happy ending thing really ges old after a while, but this here takes this idea, balls it up, chews it, spits it out unravels it and lights it on fire.......Why?...because they can of course

Shizuku, the feamale lead, is an emotionless tower of books, who litterally spends her whole life with a book to her face whenever possible.

Haru, the male lead, is a socially awkward tower of randomness and stupidity, who.....needs some anger managment as well as some family psycholgy seccions

so the story is simple, think of it as a seesaw, Girl meets boy, Boy confesses to girl, Girl confesses to boy, Boy says he didnt mean it, Girl says she'll wait, awkward moments, Boy confesses again, Girl not in love anymore, Boy says he'll wait, more awkward moments, Girl confesses to boy, Relationship

and yeah....thats it....because both of them are new to this how do you say....."interacting with others" thing it gets pretty awkward at times, and because Shizuku is new to the emtion thing as well it gets kinda wierd when it comes time to react to some of in particular is jelousy which she feels multiple times throughout the series but has no clue of what to do about it

as i said beforei LOVE good character development and this series has one of the best out of all the romance series ive seen so far(which technically isnt that many so~ yeah, go with it if you want)

Because Shizuku is a totally emotionless tower in the begining makes her development pretty good, see her blank face and stating the emotion that she currently feels for the first time is just funny, and then slowly having her deal with it as the days go by you can slowly see how her character changes as she learns to face, deal with, and react to each emotion which leads to alot of creative moments(mostly because of Haru's personality)

Haru is a bit different though, earlier i said he's new to interacting with others, when i should've said, new to being normal around others. He's a wierd Tower of Randomness to me, popping up when not expected(or it is expected but you just didnt want it to be true) and saying things completely out of the blue that just makes things more awkward than it already is, mostly cause he speaks the honest truth without a care in the world, in reality he's just a big 5 yr old who resorts to engraving people's faces into walls whenever he gets mad

the storyline is great and a bit different from the norm, and character development is awsome and deep as well, so as far as romance comedy's go definently a must watch

also im sry if this seems bland like i said before this my first time and i didnt really want to spoil anything so i kept to what i beileve is important to the romance genre if you like my way of reviewing great, expect more for most every genre, though story and character development will always play big roles in my reviews

    Another Love Story

Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun focuses on the relationship between Shizuku Mizutani, who has absolutely no interests except in studying and her plans for the future, and a boy named Haru Yoshida, who sits next to Shizuku in class but rarely attends school. After Shizuku is tasked with delivering class printouts to Haru's home, she meets Haru, who immediately greets her as a friend, starting their new relationship. Haru is socially akward and extremely violent, misunderstanding everything that goes on around him occasionally going into a rage beating up people or screaming.

Haru left home to live with Mitsuyoshi Misawa; He is Haru's cousin. Mitsuyoshi acts as a father figure for Haru, looking affectionately after him. Haru (and later Asako) calls him "Mi-chan." As he hates his father and brother always going into a frenzy running away when he arrives later on in the series to visit.

The story follows the two socially awkward main characters, while Haru steadily gains popularity among his fellow students and the two realize their feelings for each other. The side characters are rather interesting as well such as easy going S?hei Sasahara aka Sasayan-kun member of the baseball team, and knows Haru form middle school.

Asako Natsume a girl with no real life friends constantly spending her life in blogs and social groups online trying to make friends but constantly trying to push Haru and Shizuku together.

Chizuru ?shima the class representative and Shizuku's rival in love, she falls for Haru but is constantly cast aside treated like she doesn't exist by most of the student body.

Y?zan Yoshida He is Haru's older brother, whom Haru seems to dislike. Yuzan claims Haru has a brother complex, though this is denied by Haru himself. He came to take Haru back home upon their father's request for Haru to attend a nearer school, where he has more leverage, although Yuuzan does want Haru to continue going to school with Shizuku for his own personal gains.

With occasoinal appearances from Kenji Yamaguchi and his gang of idiot "friends" he tends to use people Haru being one of them, and continually bothers Haru when he's around.

The anime itself seems like your typical high school romance story, but the characters as in all anime give it a unique feel, I'll give this show a 3/5 as it is just another love story where nothing in particular from the main characters personality stands out.

      Shaky feelings

This anime is actually really good. At first I wasn't too sure but it honestly is too good. It gives you all these feelings and the background music that goes with the scenes are well matched. It just gives you such a warm lush feeling. Call me a sensitive boy or w.e but I feel like I can relate to this anime;feeling wise.

Definitely worth watching.
