The school romantic comedy revolves around a second-year high school student named Sorata Kanda who lives in Sakurasou, the dormitory for problem children at Sorata's school. One day, Mashiro Shiina —a cute girl who happens to be also a cosmopolitan, brilliant artist— moves into Sakurasou.
Sorata thinks to himself that he should protect Mashiro from the weirdos at Sakurasou, but Mashiro has a surprising secret: she has no idea how to take care of herself. She gets lost if she goes out, and her room is a complete mess. Sorata's dorm mates designate him as the "master" of Mashiro, and thus, an ordinary boy and a brilliant girl must live like "a master and his pet."

Great anime I honestly find it underrated for reasons that I don't know maybe its the plot isn't the same as everything else, maybe the characters are better then usual. Still when you mention this anime around me I am reminded of what a great anime it is and why it is good. It has characters that don't act like they were prepared for every event 20 minutes before it happened they react in ways normal people would yet can rotate so smoothly between happy go lucky mood to deep drama sadness mood. The reason I only rate it 4 out of 5 is because of 1 flaw yes the development I find that they have to many episodes of nothing relevant happening. If you read all this good for you that means you have a attention spam more then a goldfish.
Truly an amazing story filled with humor, romance and little drama. One of the best of its kind and a very inspirational one as well.
I feel inspired after watching this anime and want to work harder in my field and my fear of failure seems to have reduced (though my field does not have anything related to art/media entertainment :P)
This series was very touching. You had a cast of characters that each had their own personalities and unique relationships with each other. It strays away from the generic harem fan service type animes and truly gives the viewer substance.
Throughout the series you become attached to the cast and the show reels you into thinking that you're there with them. The show has its ups and happy moments as well as its downs and sad moments.
It does well in showing the struggles of life and the hassles of maintaining relationships but it ties it all up with one big sentimental ribbon.
This show was truly a "slice of life" and it was worth every second. 5/5, would watch every time.
