The first few episodes will deff. suck you in. You will get a feeling that this will be a classic mech vs. bug series. Very exciting!
However, it has been more than 10 episodes now and I am really confused as to what this anime really is anymore. There is hardly any interaction with the invaders and problems are now centered around the test pilot and project head. For a long string of episodes, you wonder if the enemy even exists still.
This has turned out to be more of a romantic drama than \'action\'
If you want something like blue gender mixed with gundam or any other action mech anime, go somewhere else or watch the first episode...If you want some futuristic love story with sprinkles of \'action\' then this is the right anime for you.
I saw the first few episodes and I think that this anime is really worth watching. It probes into the future where the world is ravaged by interplanetary war. There are a few reasons why this anime is so intriguing: it talks about the absolute uncertainty known as the future, our curiosity has proven to be our downfall (curiosity killed the cat), the nations of the world are actually working together for once, and the beginning catches you.
I think this anime started off with a bang both in terms of action and psychologically. If you tried, you can predict what happens next in the anime but the way this anime presents the next events are interesting. It surprises you in the way it physical represents what happens. honestly I\'m surprised by how the main character turns out but it makes sense.
This anime has a sense of realism to it that makes it so interesting and terrifying at the same time. I\'m not scared of this anime but it\'s clear that it wants to scare you psychologically, as some of the protagonist\'s characters show. There is a saying that goes \"calm before the storm\" but with this anime, you want the calm to happen after the storm in the beginning because if the beginning of the anime is the calm, then the storm that follows will be horrific.
